In Ireland, the church as a space is emptying. The boundaries that the Catholic Church put around its followers have been pushed open with many now seeking spirituality in places other than inside the walls of the church.

In The Unbounded Space of Nature, images emerge from a conversation between a mother and daughter, discussing their respective relationship to nature and religion. Open spaces become juxtaposed with the architectural confinement and interiority of the church, highlighting the psychological impact of the spaces we occupy and connection with place.

Set on a shoreline in the south of Ireland, the conversation unfolds organically with its surroundings, as both mother and daughter exchange two different generational female voices and come to appreciate the enduring, ineffable feeling and security within the presence and space of nature.
